Multi Engine Rating

Prerequisites

1. Must hold a valid Private Pilot License or Commercial Pilot License to be eligible for the Multi Engine Rating.

2. Must hold an unrestricted Category 1 or 3 Medical Certificate completed by a Transport Canada approved Medical Examiner.

TRAINING PROGRAM

Multi Engine Rating

10 Hours flying consisting of:

10 hours dual (with instructor)


Note: there is no minimum time requirement as the pilot must show competency in flying. Above is a time estimate based on our students average in acquiring this rating.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

  • No minimum time requirement exists (Pilot must show competency) 
  • Pass the Transport Canada Multi-Engine Flight Test

PRIVILEGES OF NIGHT RATING HOLDER

  • Operate any multi-engine non-high performance aircraft
  • Fly during the day or night (if rated) under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) only
