Complaint Procedure

If a student of Canadian Flyers Aviation College, as a Private Career College, has any complaint regarding anything involved in the attainment of their Commercial Pilots Licence of their Instructor Rating, they are to put the information in written form and submit it to the Supervising Instructor of Canadian Flyers International Inc. (or his delegate). The complaint shall list specifics with date(s) and times. If there is no satisfactory resolution the student may then file their complaint with the Superintendent.

During this process, the student will have the opportunity to make oral submissions and will be entitled to have another person present throughout the complaint process and/or make oral submissions on behalf of the student.
Any complaint, submission received and decision will be recorded and kept on file at Canadian Flyers Aviation College’s head office at Buttonville Airport CYKZ.
The maximum period of time between the date the complaint is submitted by a student and the date a decision will be made by Canadian Flyers Aviation College will be seven (7) days.
The statement that the decision, including reasons that the decision is based on, will be delivered to the students in writing.
The Chief Flying Instructor of Canadian Flyers Aviation College (or his designate) will review all aspects of the complaint and make the final decision regarding the results of the complaint.

Canadian Flyers Aviation College will maintain a record of every student complaint at the location where the complaint originated for a period of at least three years from the date of the decision, including a copy of the student complaint, any submissions filed and the decision. A copy will also be retained at the head office of Canadian Flyers Aviation College at Buttonville Airport. Canadian Flyers International Inc. will also provide a student with a copy of the complaint, any submissions filed and the decision.
